As promised and mentioned last night I had the pleasure of shooting the PHILTH FEENS “ALL GLOWN UP Vol. 2” party… Definitely the MOST fun I’ve had at a party in a long long time… There was a lot of energy all over the place and it was all cool… here are a few flicks… there rest are here.
…all of the videos that I’ve shot have been heavily inspired by music and mostly promotional, but this is the first time that footage shot from Compulsion has been used for an actual music video. As I’ve mentioned previously, Philadelphia is brimming with a powderkeg like EDM scene that’s been steadily moving from basement parties into the public consciousness…

~NeRo | PhiLLy | 3/30/12~
I’ve been a maniac for NeRo since the first three minutes of their Essential Mix for the BBC. I was just getting into dubstep really heavy then, hitting up bassment parties on the regular and taking photographs for local djs. I even used that first three minutes for the first CompuLsioN (an indoor street art party that features dubstep djs) slideshow. You can see it here. That very same night I met legend in the making, dj, and street artist GetUp. Last night NeRo, the dynamic EDM duo played the ElecTriC FacToRy here in Philly… The show was epic. The stage was amazing! And I’m certain I probably never want to hear dubstep again unless its on speakers bigger than my bedroom. Listening to EDM at a venue this huge (my first time) is a MUST for any fan of EDM. Even as the photographer who took these photos I have to say that I didn’t do them justice… But I tried my very best WHILE trying to thrash and enjoy some of my favorite music of 2011.

Weeks before the event we met up with models Andromeda Skyy & Jaz Amber for a shoot to promote the show. Everyone knows that the city of Philadelphia has as many creative and beautiful people in it as there are beautiful places to take photographs. On a cold day in December on her birthday weekend I met up with Zunyda, a student & local painter from NJ, & her companion Kenzie, poet, artist, student.
In the end we photographed in some pretty familiar Philly sights… The aim was to give them a different “look” without going thru any intense effort to change the surroundings… here’s a handful of looks from the shoot… enjoy… and share with your friends…

A projection screen showing the Phillies game is a wonderful way of showing solidarity with our brethren the globe over that we are in this struggle with them and bringing attention to the issues that plague our area of the world.
